The Centre for Clinical Research and Biostatistics (CCRB) was established under the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care to promote clinical research and Biostatistics. The Centre aims to provide an innovative Biostatistics and Bioinformatics methodology development, and also clinical research services on the design and analysis aspects of local, regional and international clinical trials.
The following are the major areas of research and developments of the Centre for Clinical Research and Biostatistics:
- Bioinformatics in areas such as infectious diseases, cancer and psychiatric diseases. Our focus is on bioinformatics methods and research that have a wide impact in public, including vaccine development, cancer diagnostics, and risk factors for screening.
- Medical devices development targeted to the effect used of existing or new medical devices that require extensive research in the biostatistics methods with innovation in the application. The medical devices in the CCRB mainly focused on screening tools with global Public Health impact.
- Clinical research design and data analysis with a speciality in the area of design and analysis of multicentre clinical trials, and experienced in the operation of the cooperative group and statistical centre for large trials.
