
The research team from the Centre for Clinical Research and Biostatistics, in collaboration with Health View Bioanalytic Limited, developed Automatic Retinal Image Analysis (ARIA) – a depression and schizophrenia risk assessment tool that can be used in the community to identify moderate- to high-risk individuals for early intervention and care. This technology won a gold award at the 77th International Trade Fair “Ideas – Inventions – New Products” (iENA) held in Nuremberg. iENA is one of the world’s premier platforms for inventions and innovations. iENA aims to showcase inventions, facilitate commercialisation partnerships, and foster connections with investors, manufacturers, and distributors. The 2025 edition featured more than 800 inventions and product innovations from 37 countries and regions.
