Ho Visiting Professorship to Stanford University in 2016. Her main research area is Bioinformatics, complex disease prediction models using genetic data sets, and viral genetic mutation modelling.

Maggie has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers, and wrote the chapter “Genetic Test, Risk Prediction Model, and Genetic Counselling” in the book “Translational Informatics in Smart Healthcare” (Springer, 2017). She has invented many novel methods that are gap-filling towards improving genetic interpretation of human diseases. Her representative works are published in the leading journals of the field including Nucleic Acids Research and Bioinformatics. Maggie is the PI of RCG-GRF and NSFC general project grants.
